Mix the cake mix, 1 cup canned milk and melted butter or margarine together. Pour slightly less than 1/2 batter into a 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes, until firm, at 350°. Melt the caramels with 2/3 cup canned milk; pour mixture on top of cake mix. Top with nuts. Add a layer of all chocolate chips. Cover with the remainder of batter. Bake at 350° for 18 to 20 minutes. Do not overbake! Enjoy!
