Heat butter, garlic and salt until melted and flavors well blended. Slice loaves in half, lengthwise, making top and bottom pieces. Then cut into 1-inch slices through both halves. Saturate bread completely with this mixture. Wrap in foil and refrigerate. When ready to serve, uncover and place in preheated 350° to 375° oven for 30 to 40 minutes. Turn off heat and leave bread in oven until it is served (not too long). Bread must be hot and cooked this long to be good. Should be crusty.
