Research Evidence

What science says

nutrition finding

The reliability of estimates (intraclass correlation coefficients) of energy and nine nutrients obtained from a single administration of the dietary recall ranged from 0.15 to 0.38.

nutrient intakes showed intra-individual day-to-day variation and tracking

technique parameter

Amylopectin-rich materials showed unfavorable relaxation, shrinkage and cracking during aging.

compound effect

Observation under scanning electron microscope (SEM) showed surface cracking of the starch granules by γ-irradiation which increased with increase in irradiation dose.

compound effect

20:3n-6 and the 20:4n-6:20:3n-6 ratio showed the highest tracking coefficients (Spearman's r 0.68), while DHA, EPA and PLN3-index (EPA+DHA) coefficients were 0.60, 0.47 and 0.55, respectively.
