Preheat oven to 400 degrees. In bowl, combine 1 c. flour, yeast, salt, oregano, onion pwdr rand garlic pwdr. Mix well. Add in water and shortening. Mix by hand till somewhat smooth. Gradually stir in remaining flour to make stiff dough. Let rest 15 min. With well floured or possibly greased fingers, press into 15 x 10 x 1 inch baking sheet, forming edge. Spread with pizza sauce and desired toppings. Bake for 25 to 30 min, till light golden and crisp on edges. To Freeze Thick Crust: Shape in pan, wrap and freeze or possibly assemble pizza (with sauce and topping) wrap and freeze. When ready to prepare, thaw and bake at 400 degrees as desired. Frzn crusts should be used within 2 weeks.
