Combine flour and next 4 ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Combine eggs and milk; add to dry ingredients, stirring well. Peel, core, and slice each apple into 1/4 inch-thick rings. Dip apple slices into batter, and fry in deep, hot oil (375°). Cook only a few at a time, turning once. Fry 2 to 3 minutes or until fritters are golden brown. Drain well on paper towels. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Serve immediately. Yield: 12 to 14 slices.
