Abstract: Post-harvest technology is an important field in agriculture and food science that deals with the handling, preservation, and management of agricultural products after harvesting. It includes several operations such as harvesting, cleaning, sorting, grading, packaging, storage, transportation, and processing, all of which aim to reduce losses and maintain the quality of food products before they reach consumers. A large proportion of food produced globally is lost during post-harvest stages due to poor storage systems, improper handling, inefficient transportation, and lack of technological support.
