Abstract
Food systems are struggling to meet growing food demand due to the convergence of many global issues. In recent years, significant technological advances have been made to address the complex and multifaceted challenges facing the food industry. Industry 4.0 components such as artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain, robotic systems, and smart sensors are revolutionizing food production processes by increasing efficiency, reducing costs, and optimizing operational workflows. Continuous advancements in next-generation technologies are enabling rapid progress in the transition from traditional food production to precision production and smart food factories.
