Abstract
Nanotechnology has developed as a revolutionary force in the food packaging industry, presenting novel methods to improve food quality, shelf life, and safety. This transformative approach leverages nanoscale materials, such as nanoparticles, nanocomposites, and nanocoatings, to solve prominent issues with packaged food preservation. The substantial surface area of nanoparticles contributes to their superior barrier characteristics, particularly against oxygen and moisture. Nanocomposites, featuring components such as nanoclays and nanocellulose, form robust barriers that increase the life of perishable goods and uphold product quality. The incorporation of silver nanoparticles introduces potent antimicrobial capabilities, mitigating contamination risks and ensuring prolonged safety. Beyon
