Abstract
Kodo millet (Paspalum scrobiculatum), an ancient grain crop, has garnered increased attention due to its nutritional and agronomic properties. This small-grain millet is rich in essential minerals, dietary fiber and protein, making it an important component of a balanced diet. Kodo millet grows well in arid and semiarid regions due to its resistance to drought, high temperatures and unfavorable soil conditions. Due to its short growing season and minimal water requirements it is a crop that appeals to small scale farmers and operates as a climate-resilient alternative to dry land Agriculture.
