Abstract

Food products, packaging materials, visual designs, transportation, and distribution all work together to create a dynamic system for food packaging. In order to provide the packaging system for various types of food products with desirable functionalities, a number of packaging materials are introduced. The main packaging materials for the majority of commercially produced foods are paper, paperboard, and plastic. For many different liquid and semi-solid food products, metal and glass are also frequently employed.
