Combine flour and sugar in a saucepan. Add egg, milk, vinegar and salt. Bring to a boil over low heat, stirring constantly until thickened. Cool completely, then add 1/2 cup mayonnaise (regular or light) and 2 tablespoons yellow mustard. This keeps in the refrigerator for several months. This is an excellent dressing for potato or macaroni salad.
