Preheat oven to 325°. Chop unsweetened chocolate. Combine 6 tablespoons butter and half the chopped chocolate in pan over lowest heat. Let melt and stir until smooth. Remove from heat and cool. Butter a 9-inch cake pan. With electric mixer, beat eggs until frothy; still beating, gradually add sugar. Beat until thick and pale yellow. Turn to low and beat in 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla and the salt. Beat in the melted chocolate and butter mixture. With a spoon, stir in flour. Pour into pan and bake until done in center, 35 to 40 minutes. Cool 10 minutes. Invert onto rack and cool. Chop candy bar. Combine remaining 3 ounces chocolate with remaining 3 tablespoons of butter in a saucepan over lowest heat.
