Preheat oven to 400°. Peel, boil and mash potatoes for 1 cup. In big pot, bring to boil 1 1/2 cups water. Add sugar, salt and yeast, making sure to dissolve. Beat eggs gently; add to sugar and stir. Add and dissolve shortening. Remove pot from heat to begin to cool. Begin to add and stir in mashed potatoes, then flour. When dough is formed, pinch off and form into balls and place on lightly greased cookie sheet. Cover with cloth towel to allow yeast to cause dough to rise. Bake 12 to 15 minutes.
