Cut butter into flour until mixture resembles coarse meal. Press mixture firmly into an ungreased 11 x 7-inch, 9 x 9-inch or 8 x 8-inch pan. Bake at 350° for 15 to 20 minutes, until set, but not brown. Combine eggs (beaten), brown sugar, baking powder, coconut, salt, nuts and vanilla. Mix well. Spread over partially baked dough. Bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes. Frost immediately. Combine lemon rind, lemon juice and confectioners sugar. Mix well. After frosting, cut into bars.
