2 Tbsp. shortening
3 small onions, sliced
3 Tbsp. flour
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. thyme
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
2 c. water

Shake flour and round steak in plastic bag until coated. Brown in 3 tablespoons shortening. Add onions; cook until tender. Pour into ungreased 2-quart casserole dish. Sprinkle with 3 tablespoons flour, salt, pepper, thyme and garlic powder. Pour water over. Cover. Bake 45 minutes at 350° until tender. Slice potatoes and layer over meat. Sprinkle with paprika. Bake, uncovered, 30 minutes at 450° or until potatoes are tender.
