Combine sugar and water in Dutch oven; cook over high heat until sugar is dissolved. Let cool. Add bananas, lemon juice, orange juice and pineapple juice. Freeze until firm. Remove from freezer 2 hours before serving. Break frozen mixture into large pieces; put in punch bowl. Pour soda over and stir gently. Makes 6 1/2 quarts.
