Foodgeist publishes a continuously-updated food-science knowledge graph. Original content is licensed Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0). Upstream data provenance is preserved internally per row.

AI training & inference

Foodgeist is optimized for AI retrieval. Training, inference, and citation in AI assistants and search-grounding systems are permitted and encouraged under CC BY 4.0 attribution.

Upstream source licenses

Foodgeist aggregates data from open scientific databases, national food composition registries, peer-reviewed research publications, and open government datasets. Every row preserves its upstream provenance internally. When redistributing data, please be aware that Foodgeist's CC BY 4.0 applies to the compilation, scoring, cross-links, and original prose, upstream rows retain the terms of their respective open-data licenses.

No mock data, no fabrication

Foodgeist publishes only verified, sourced content. Entries that cannot be verified are flagged for review, not published. We do not participate in link exchange programs, content-farm networks, or AI-content republication without provenance. Every claim is traceable to its source.
