Friction-based heating method for pasteurization or sterilization without external heat sources.

Technical Description

Uses high-speed mechanical shear (typically 1,500–3,000 RPM) to generate localized heat (80–140°C) via friction. Residence times range from 5–30 seconds. Effective for low-moisture foods (aw < 0.6) or viscous pastes.
